Susan’s back in action
Filed Under Landscape, Nature, Online Marketing
My embracing on-line-marketing has just now become birthed. For a long time Diane has encouraged me to do this and I’ve put up barriers. Recently, Diane and I participated in a craft fair reasonably close to where we live. We took almost everything we have that was ready for displaying and selling. Many, many and many items were brought down two flights of stairs and mathematically placed in our small hatchback car. Now we’re ready to drive to our ultimate craft fair destination. Luckily, we were able to park right by the booth. I unloaded items and Diane placed our images on the two tables. At the end of a looooong very hot day and not selling enough that would buy a dinner at our favorite Asian restaurant, we began to ‘break down’ our shop of creative imagery. Packed up the car and drove home. Our wonderful much younger than we are neighbor gleefully brought up all of our wares to the top floor. We were so grateful of her generous kindness. Thank you, Jessica!
After that day I turned to Diane and said, I want to participate in on-line-marketing - show me how, please. I’m tired of the schlepping!!
P.S. If there is a doubtful reader out there about on-line-marketing give me a shout. I’ll happy to share with you why you ought to consider it.
You can see this Rembrandt esque photograph in my Etsy Shop. It’s on SALE for another couple of days.

What a wonderful photograph. I can feel a cooling night breeze and a cardinal seems to be singing in a nearby thicket.
Having been at that craft show, I certainly understand your decision to make an effort at marketing art online. It’s hard to find the market for art especially in a small town rural environment like this one.
I have to say that although I’ve taken a small step to online marketing it hasn’t been successful and so I’m somewhat torn about this. I think I should probably try harder to make the online business work and yet I seem to be going in the other direction.
Each little bit of this business takes so much time, effort, and money and it is easy to be discouraged if it doesn’t pay off. I think it all comes back to the work. Doing the work we love will hopefully bring us some success, and the definition of that will have to be our own. In every business there is the promise of financial reward, the hope that our efforts will succeed but the truth is in all business and especially in the arts there is no guarantee. I think your beautiful work is surely it’s own reward.
Sister Sue,
WELCOME back! We MISSED you…
Nice to see you in the thick of it.
By the way I like the clear sighted assessment of Ellen on the above post.
I meant to say: SOBER assessment…
