Trepidations
On Monday I’ll meet with my writer’s group for the second time. I do have trepidations about it because we each have forwarded stories to one another for reading/critiquing purposes. I have no idea how the first scene of my screen play will be received. During the past six months I’ve tweaked and re-tweaked the various scenes many, many times.
The other day I met with one of the co-authors of “A Wrinkle in Time” (made for television version) and she felt I was on the right track. She gave me helpful feedback in creating a more smoothly readable script. After talking with her I drove home and immediately made the changes suggested.
I’m about half way through the first major draft and my goal is to have the play completely written within two months. I’m excited in starting my next writing idea which is to be a children’s television series. Just to let you know, I’ve never been short on ideas.
All of you are an inspiration to me. I deeply appreciate your taking the time in responding to what I share with you.

Hey Susan,
Im really glad to see you rising to all of your challenges, including your blog! woohoo. I so understand those feelings of vulnerability when presenting yourself before a group. It sounds like the participants are pretty supportive, so that is good, eh?
Im looking forward to reading more about your journey here.
