Hey, what do you think of this cool messenger bag? On the flap it has one of my popular photographs called, Roses I. Personally, I really like this style bag. I’ve seen a lot of people carrying it. I thought I’d introduce you to one of my many products that has my images on them.
All day today has been devoted to uploading, preparing, writing about and inserting images into my various on-line marketing shops. This is really a lot of work. As a friend said years ago, nothing is easy.
Would enjoy hearing from you about how you like the Roses I on this particular bag – if you’d like!
I’ve been working on getting my new CafePress Shop. It’s a shop that features my exciting photography images on mugs, totes and tiles. Am quite excited about it. Would you visit my shop….www.cafepress.com/susanelkin I would be interested in hearing your response. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
It’s been a very busy day and rather chilly (windy) so I’m going to relax for the rest of the evening. Thank you for coming by. See you tomorrow.   Susan
I know I’ve been missing for a loooooong time in blog writing action – I apologize – there’s been a lot going on. My twin brother has been very ill from complications with his brittle diabetes. My 97 year old mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She did have surgery and it was a success. There was much to attend to in helping them with the dailiness of living.
The ususal appointments to go to, shopping , cleaning and since I live nearly 3 hours drive, each way, and work at my regular job and focus expanding my photography business. All that I had to do didn’t leave me with “free time” to attend to writing my blog.
Another impending medical occurrence is that I will need hip and knee replacement surgery sometime this year. I have an appointment with the surgeon in March to discuss which part will be operated on first. I’m hoping this will happen very early May. There is a long recuperation period and I would prefer that the surgery does not happen during the winter months. All around, it would be far easier to recuperate from limb surgery during spring and summer.
I’ve had both my shoulders operated on and I can tell you from experience that life is harder all around during the winter months.
Eventually, I will be the bionic woman – both knees and hips will ultimately be replaced.
In all of this I’ve had to adjust how to continue to build my photography business that I love doing because my body is changing dramatically and I need to change how I am doing things.
I’m just wanting to explain to you my absence from keeping up with my posts. Well, now, today I’ve jumped into bringing my shops more up-to-date. I’ve loaded up additional images for selling.
I would love to sell my large framed images – 11×14″ framed work and the only way that can happen is by displaying their availability in my various shops – etsy shop, zazzle and design style guide. My biggest selling photographs are now in those shops. Hope you stop by and take a look.
Peace and Serenity as Spring Unfolds
You can really use this postage in the United States. This has my image on it.
I do hope you visit my zazzle shop. Thank you for coming by. See you tomorrow with another post.
My embracing on-line-marketing has just now become birthed. For a long time Diane has encouraged me to do this and I’ve put up barriers. Recently, Diane and I participated in a craft fair reasonably close to where we live. We took almost everything we have that was ready for displaying and selling. Many, many and many items were brought down two flights of stairs and mathematically placed in our small hatchback car. Now we’re ready to drive to our ultimate craft fair destination. Luckily, we were able to park right by the booth. I unloaded items and Diane placed our images on the two tables. At the end of a looooong very hot day and not selling enough that would buy a dinner at our favorite Asian restaurant, we began to ‘break down’ our shop of creative imagery. Packed up the car and drove home. Our wonderful much younger than we are neighbor gleefully brought up all of our wares to the top floor. We were so grateful of her generous kindness. Thank you, Jessica!
After that day I turned to Diane and said, I want to participate in on-line-marketing – show me how, please. I’m tired of the schlepping!!
P.S. If there is a doubtful reader out there about on-line-marketing give me a shout. I’ll happy to share with you why you ought to consider it.
You can see this Rembrandt esque photograph in my Etsy Shop. It’s on SALE for another couple of days.
I’m so delighted Spring has finally sprung. One glorious morning I began driving through the back roads of where I live and saw this magical reflection image. I parked my car, took out my tripod and camera – click and click again – here is what I captured in the early morning glow.
Today I met with another woman photographer. We spent two hours sharing stories about photography experiences, parts of our lives – we seemed to have much in common. I felt we had a good connection and plan to continue our new friendship.
Framed bouquet of hanging flowers showered in the afternoon sun caught my eye as I was driving along a back road in Whately. I stopped to take the photograph and wanted to share it with you. Susan Elkin
